Are you experienced in root cause analyses and risk assessment? Do you have experience with auditing?

We are currently seeking a Risk Assessment Business Analyst position for a top New York City investment bank to review and improve current business procedures in the risk and compliance department.

Risk Assessment Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• Act as main contact for all analysis needs from business units
• Analyze existing state practices and data flows
• Evaluate existing control environments and pinpoint risks
• Complete root cause analyses of persistent errors, evaluate their risks and impact, and assess possible alternatives
• Develop business requirements for areas undergoing improvement
• Interact with other working areas and assess new GBS requirements
• Establish business requirements for redesigned GBS processes and IT deliveries
• Cooperate with IT to assure there is a clear understanding of business needs
• Aid in UAT and complete unit test on IT deliverables
• Promote solid relationship with important internal stakeholders
• Oversee important issues to resolution

Risk Assessment Business Analyst Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
• At least 5 years experience in the Finance Industry with a focus in project management and process analysis
• Prior experience with risk analysis, auditing and error checking
• Knowledge of finance industry including risk management, compliance, accounting workflows and processes
• Expert knowledge of MS Office required, including Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and Visio
• Confident analytical and problem solving abilities
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deliverables throughout timeline extensive projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interactions across functional departments and senior management

This Risk Assessment Business Analyst role is a consulting position that is expected to last at least 6 months with possible extension and pays an annualized salary of $147,680 ($71 per hour).
