Weather alert: Increased rain chances make for sunny -- and soggy -- week in South Florida

Don?t forget your umbrella. Chances are this will be another wet, hot week in South Florida.

A 30 percent chance of scattered showers and storms, with rain arriving mainly after 3 p.m., is expected on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Winds may gust up to 18 mph, and temperatures will be in the high 80s.

Monday night will see a continued chance of rain at 30 percent and temperatures in the high 70s.

Rain chances increase to 50 percent on Tuesday with temperatures staying in the high 80s and winds blowing around 11 mph.

The chance for storms will decrease for Tuesday night -- down to 30 percent -- as temperatures drop to the high 70s.

A similar trend will follow for the rest of the week: rain chances between 40 and 50 percent during the day, with temperatures steaming in the high 80s and low 90s.
